'Symbols of The Passion' ~ Good Friday Family Service

"This is the Garden of Joseph of Arimathea, with the tomb where Jesus was laid and where he rose.  It is here that life and hope begin.  It is here that the dark despair of the cross is replaced by the new life and hope of the risen Christ.  We have gathered in this garden to hear the story, the most important story in the family tree of our faith."

We are going to hear it in the symbols of the events of that time: the basin of water, the coins of betrayal, the cup, the lantern, the crown of thorns, the Cross, and the lily.
We will recapture a sense of who Jesus was and is, and who we are, by holding before us some of the symbols of our faith.

All ages are welcome to join us for this special presentation by families of St. Paul's.  After the service, we'll enjoy hot cross buns and children can create their own Easter Garden.

Date: Friday, April 10
Where: St. Paul's Anglican Church
808 Ridgeway Street (across from the former McKellar Hospital)
*Use side entrance off parking lot*
When: 9:00 am - 10:30 am

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

was held at St Paul’s on Sunday January 19 2020. We worshiped with Christians from St. Pat’s, St. Andrew’s, and First-Wesley.
Monsignor Pat Stilla delivered a moving homily on kindness. The service was developed by Christians in Malta.

This is an annual service that is rotated between the 4 churches.
